We're a partner of the Black Forest Nature Park!
Since 2022, we have been a proud partner of the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park. This means that, together with the nature park and other companies, organizations, and institutions, we are committed to certain goals.
Among others, the following goals are pursued:
- Preservation and maintenance of the regional cultural landscape
- Protection and restoration of diverse plant and animal life
- Sustainable business practices and careful use of natural resources
- Establishment and strengthening of local and regional value chains
Bioland certification
Our apiary has been BIOLAND-certified since 2001. Our bee colonies are very important to us, which is why natural beekeeping practices and a pesticide-free environment are a matter of course for us.
Energy & building
Our company building in Bühl, which we moved into in 2013, is heated using geothermal energy. We generate our own electricity with the photovoltaic system on our roof. Our EV charging stations are also powered by electricity from our own photovoltaic system.
Flower meadow projects
Flowering areas provide bees and other pollinators with important food sources and habitats. As a flower meadow sponsor of the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park, we support the “Blooming Nature Park” project. In addition, we provide flower seed mixtures to customers and partners.
Sharing knowledge
As an extracurricular learning partner of so-called "Naturparkschulen", we pass on our knowledge about bees and beekeeping to the next generations in a child-friendly way. Adult groups can also learn more about sustainable beekeeping in our “Bienensumminar”.
Packaging & Shipping
For our shipping and product packaging, we use materials such as paper, cardboard and rPET. For shipping, we use DHL GoGreen.
Regional commitment
We work closely with other partners of the nature park and are strongly connected to the region beyond that – for example through events and activities with local associations and companies.
