We're a partner of the Black Forest Nature Park!
Since 2022, we have been a proud partner of the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park. This means that, together with the nature park and other companies, organizations, and institutions, we are committed to certain goals.
Among others, the following goals are pursued:
- Preservation and maintenance of the regional cultural landscape
- Protection and restoration of diverse plant and animal life
- Sustainable business practices and careful use of natural resources
- Establishment and strengthening of local and regional value chains
Bioland certification
Our apiary has been BIOLAND-certified since 2001. Our bee colonies are very important to us, which is why natural beekeeping practices and a pesticide-free environment are a matter of course for us.
Sustainable building
Our company building in Bühl, which we moved into in 2013, was built with the firm intention of being environmentally friendly. We heat with geothermal energy and produce our own electricity using solar technology on the roof. The electric charging stations in our parking area are also supplied with solar power from our roof.
Flower meadow projects
Blooming landscapes, not only in the nature park region, are vital for bees. We support flower meadows in the region and thus contribute to protecting local biodiversity. In addition, we regularly distribute seed mixtures with regionally important plants to customers and partners.
Sharing knowledge
As an extracurricular learning partner of so-called "Naturparkschulen", we pass on our knowledge about bees and beekeeping to the next generations in a child-friendly way. Adult groups can also learn more about sustainable beekeeping in our “Bienensumminar”.
Sustainable supply chain
From purchasing to disposal, we pay attention to a sustainable supply chain. Among other things, we ensure the use of recycled and recyclable packaging materials and ship exclusively with DHL GoGreen.
Regional commitment
We work closely with other partners of the nature park and are strongly connected to the region beyond that – for example through events and activities with local associations and companies.
