Our Fera Floris bee pollen serves as a natural food supplement for our beloved pets. For our Fera Floris bee pollen, we only use pollen of excellent quality, directly from a Spanish nature reserve. It is harvested, gently dried and cleaned to preserve its value.

Bee pollen - food for the bees

Bees fly from one flower to another, collecting pollen as well as nectar. In one year, a colony collects between 20 and 70 kilograms of pollen, which serves as an excellent source of food for the bees and their larvae. Bee pollen is actually the male seeds of flowering plants, which consist of microscopically small grains. When the bee flies over a flower, the pollen collects mainly on the bee's hind legs and forms what is known as a "pollen pellet". The exact composition of the pollen depends on the region, but also on the type of flower.

Application of Fera Floris flower pollen

We cannot make a general recommendation regarding the dosage of our bee pollen. Every organism can react differently to bee pollen. Even pets can react allergically to pollen in rare cases. In addition, it is a natural product and the composition of bee pollen is influenced by various natural factors. You should therefore always first test whether your pet can tolerate the application of bee pollen and is not allergic to it. It is best to start with a low dosage, which can then be slowly increased over several days. If symptoms of intolerance appear, use should be stopped immediately. For birds, rodents and fish, individual grains can be fed directly to the animal. For cats and dogs, we recommend mixing the flower pollen into their food; wet food is best suited for this.
