What is bee pollen?

When bees visit flowers, they collect not only nectar but also pollen. The pollen grains stick to the bees’ bodies, are formed into small “pollen baskets,” and transported back to the hive.

The composition and color of pollen can vary depending on the plant species, region, and harvest time.

Origin & Processing

The pollen used in Fera Floris comes from a nature reserve in Extremadura in western Spain. The region’s diverse vegetation shapes the composition and colors of the collected pollen. After harvesting, it is carefully dried and cleaned, then packaged for use as a supplement to animal feed.

Feeding

Since animals may react differently to pollen, you should start with a small amount. The amount can then be gradually increased, provided the pollen is well tolerated.

For birds and rodents, individual pollen grains can be fed directly. For dogs and cats, the pollen can simply be mixed into their food, such as wet food.

Guidelines for dogs and cats:
Small dogs and cats: approx. ¼ teaspoon
Medium-sized dogs: approx. ½ teaspoon
Large dogs: approx. 1 teaspoon

Note: Do not use if the animal has a known hypersensitivity or allergy to pollen. Discontinue use if signs of intolerance appear. If you are unsure about feeding this product or if your pet has an existing medical condition, consult your veterinarian.
