Propolis – a special bee product
Propolis is also known as bee resin or sealing resin. Bees collect resins from buds and plant parts and process them further in the hive. There, propolis serves, among other things, to seal small cracks and openings.
We have a long tradition of processing propolis: Heinrich Kumm, the father of our master beekeeper Stefan Kumm, has been intensively involved with propolis and its processing since the 1960s. This experience continues to form the foundation of our propolis products for humans and animals to this day.
Directions for Use
Apply a few drops directly to the affected area of skin or gently dab it on with a clean cloth. For external use only.
Due to the alcohol content, the treated area should, if possible, be kept out of the animal’s reach so it cannot be licked.
This alcohol-based tincture is not intended as a dietary supplement. For this purpose, we offer our alcohol-free Fera Prop Propolis Solution.
Note on Tolerance
Propolis can also cause allergic reactions or skin irritation in animals. Before first use, test a small amount on a limited area of skin. If redness, itching, or other reactions occur, discontinue use.
Do not use if the animal has a known hypersensitivity or allergy to propolis. Avoid contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. If severe, persistent, or unexplained skin changes occur, consult a veterinarian.
