The creation of our honey grappa

We use an original Italian grape marc for our Imkergut honey grappa. Grappa is a grape marc spirit that can only be called "grappa" if it was produced in Italy. These pomace are actually by-products of wine production. After distillation, the honey grappa is refined with our Bioland acacia honey. The combination of the finest honey and the full-bodied grappa creates a velvety-soft note and a rough palate with a sweet finish when consumed.

Serving recommendation for our honey grappa

Our grappa is best drunk in style from a long-stemmed grappa goblet at low room temperature. The right temperature is a matter of taste, the colder the less alcohol we perceive and the fresher and fruitier the aroma of the honey grappa. The closer to room temperature, the more full-bodied the spicy character of the grappa comes to the fore. This sharpness of the grappa is perfectly softened in the finish by the sweetness of the honey.

Honey grappa is traditionally enjoyed in the Black Forest as a digestif after a meal.
The special feature of this fine spirit, in addition to its unique taste, is its slightly dark color, which is created by the added honey. Our honey grappa can not only be enjoyed on its own, it is also ideal for mixing. How about a Caffé Corretto, for example? A real treat after a delicious meal. Simply serve the espresso with a shot of grappa. Our honey grappa also makes an excellent dessert on a scoop of ice cream.
