What makes lavender honey so special?

Apart from its characteristic taste, which immediately evokes vacation feelings, lavender honey has other unique properties. The scent of lavender has been appreciated for centuries - whether as an ingredient in scented sachets, oils or in lavender honey. Its essential oils give it an unmistakable aroma that is traditionally used in a variety of ways in naturopathy. In 2008, Lavandula angustifolia, the true lavender, was named medicinal plant of the year, and in 2020 even medicinal plant of the year - an indication of how deeply rooted its use is in herbal medicine.

From the vast fields of Provence

Hardly any other region in the world is as famous for its lavender fields as Provence, which is why we have decided to bring lavender honey from the beautiful French region to us. Even though, for once, this honey does not come from our bees, we naturally pay attention to the highest quality, as we do with our other types of honey.

Lavender honey is very versatile

The floral-sweet note of lavender makes lavender honey a classic on fresh baguettes, but the creamy blossom honey is also a real all-rounder. It sweetens summery, tangy drinks or warm milk, is suitable for baking and cooking and is a delicious accompaniment to cheese and fruit. It can also be used to refine salad dressings, sweet marinades for grilled food and, of course, a delicious porridge or muesli in the morning as well as desserts.
