Our premium raw propolis from Imkergut is now also available in a practical 50g jar. We only use the best quality propolis with a resin content of up to 60%. The propolis is personally hand-picked by our master beekeeper Stefan Kumm. The premium raw propolis is perfect for the propo steam but also for the production of tinctures and soluctions.

What is propolis?

Propolis is also known as bee resin, putty resin or putty wax. It is a resin-like mass of various substances that is used by worker bees to seal and repair the hive. The exact composition of propolis varies, as it is influenced by many factors such as the type of local flora or the seasons. Propolis therefore consists of different resins, balsams and many other substances from various plant buds. At Cum Natura, we have made it our mission to make this high-quality bee product accessible to people and therefore offer various products relating to propolis products.

Propolis for vaporizing

Propolis exudes a unique smell - anyone who loves honey will appreciate the scent of the beehive even more. You can easily bring this home with the help of raw propolis. For this we recommend our propolis vaporizer which is particularly suitable for vaporizing raw propolis.
To use in the Propo Steam, half fill the jar in the device. The 50g jar of premium raw propolis is sufficient for approx. 10 fillings in the Propo Steam. If used for 8 hours a day, the contents should be changed after approx. one week.

Raw propolis for dissolving

To dissolve in alcohol: Use 100g of raw propolis and a high-proof alcohol. You can get the 70% alcohol from a pharmacy or a specialist liquor store. Finally, you will need a sealable container for the mixture.

Now you can mix 250 to 350 ml of alcohol with 100 g of raw propolis, depending on the desired concentration. Then leave to infuse at room temperature for three to four weeks. The container should be shaken once or twice a day so that the mixture dissolves better. After this infusion time, it is best to leave the container to stand so that the insoluble parts can settle. The tincture can then be strained using a coffee filter. Your own tincture is ready.

Propolis to chew

In some regions of Eastern Europe, raw propolis is traditionally chewed in small quantities - usually around one to two grams. The taste is described as aromatic, slightly sour and bitter. Note: No medical efficacy has been proven to date.
