Royal jelly - The special food of the queen bee

Pure royal jelly - also known as royal jelly - is a special product of the honey bee. It is produced by young worker bees and is used exclusively to feed the queen bee. Our freeze-dried royal jelly is of particularly high quality and has a longer shelf life than fresh royal jelly due to its powder form - ideal for anyone who appreciates bee products and wants to creatively expand their diet. Just a pinch a day is enough, for example as an addition to honey on a bread roll.

Royal jelly - a treasure

Did you know that royal jelly is an absolutely rare and therefore precious commodity? This most precious juice of the bee colony is only produced by bees in very small quantities. Extracting it for humans is very time-consuming and therefore very expensive. Only very few beekeepers have set themselves the task of harvesting the royal food - only 500 grams of royal jelly can be extracted from a colony in one year.
But what is royal jelly anyway? It is a unique product that is extracted from the forage sap of worker bees and is only fed to queen bees. So the royal name is no coincidence! Royal jelly is a thick yellowish to white and sticky juice with a sweet and sour taste. The juice is intended exclusively for the queen bee and plays a central role in the beehive; it is therefore also known as royal jelly or queen bee food juice.

Why freeze-dried royal jelly?

The main advantage of our lyophilized royal jelly in powder form is its longer shelf life compared to fresh royal jelly. To preserve its quality for as long as possible, you should always keep it tightly sealed in a dry, cool place. Once opened, freeze-dried royal jelly should be used within eight weeks.
