After harvesting, the propolis is gently cleaned, dried, frozen, and then ground into a fine powder. In addition to the pure propolis powder (95%), a small amount of silica is added to prevent the propolis powder from clumping. Propolis in powder form is less concentrated than tinctures and solutions and is therefore also somewhat more neutral in taste than the concentrates.
