A sweet and mild taste experience
Our organic acacia honey is characterized by its sweet, mild, slightly floral taste. Acacia honey is not very intense, which makes it particularly popular with children, but also with people who are sensitive to strong aromas. Its restrained taste makes acacia honey ideal for recipes in which the honey flavor should not dominate. What is special about this honey is that it has a high fructose content, which means that it remains liquid for a long time, often even for years. This is atypical for a blossom honey, but makes acacia honey all the more practical for sweetening and refining delicious desserts, dressings, marinades, tea or milk and other drinks.
Acacia honey is also popular in cosmetics. It is particularly popular in skin care products. For example, face masks made from dairy products such as quark or yoghurt in combination with honey or honey with cinnamon are popular.
Did you know? Not all acacia honey is the same
Strictly speaking, our acacia honey should be called robinia honey, because the nectar comes from the flowers of the robinia tree. The robinia is a tree with many names, for example it is also known as false acacia or false acacia, the botanical name of the robinia is Robinia pseudoacacia - so it stands to reason that the false acacia is increasingly referred to simply as acacia, even though the "real" acacia is native to tropical and subtropical regions. However, since the name acacia has become so established for the tree, the German Beekeepers' Association also allows the honey to be called "acacia honey". Especially as the characteristics of the false acacia hardly differ from its tropical namesake and the honey also has an almost identical taste. There are many robinia trees in our region, especially in the Upper Rhine Plain. It became native there many years ago and is a very popular place for our bees to visit. Why is that? The flowers of the acacia blossom early in the year and are particularly rich in nectar and pollen. The yield can be very high: Between 0.66 and 1.44 kilos of honey can be obtained per tree per flowering season - a joy for the bee colonies and for the beekeeper.German acacia honey in organic quality - directly from the beekeeper
Our acacia honey comes directly from our Bioland beekeeping Immenstein in Bühl at the foot of the Black Forest. With the Bioland seal, we meet the highest standards of quality and animal welfare: it is our most important concern that our bees are kept in a manner appropriate to their species and nature and are not exploited. All products from our apiary are processed with the utmost care and the honey is gently extracted. Like all our honeys, our acacia honey is a purely natural product with no additives. Our recipe tip with acacia honey: Yoghurt and herb dressing

darf bei mir niemals ausgehen
Toller Honig zum süßen von Tee und der darf auch nicht in meiner Salatsoße fehlen. Durch die leichte Konsistenz lässt er sich gut mit dem Schneebesen verrühren. Einfach wunderbar.
